CHILDCARE If you are passionate about working with children, our childcare courses can provide you with the specialist training and hands-on experience required for a successful career within this industry. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in our specialist nursery and craft rooms.

Course length: 1 year
This course is designed for students who wish to progress into a career in the childcare or health and social care industry. The course will cover topics including communication, safeguarding, equality and diversity, physical care for babies and health and nutrition for both adults and children.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
3 GCSEs at grade 2/E or above or an entry level qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
On completion of the course you could progress on to our level 2 courses in childcare or health and social care or by securing an apprenticeship.
Course length: 1 year
Our level 2 course will cover the roles and responsibilities of the early year’s practitioner, promoting play in the early year’s setting and understanding how to support a child’s development. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours in our industry standard craft room, baby rooms and nursery dedicated for our childcare students.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
3 GCSEs grade 3/D or above including English and maths or a level 1 qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Once you have completed this course you could further your studies by progressing on to our Level 3 Extended Diploma in Childcare or by securing an apprenticeship.
