QUESTIONS RAISED ON FOREST DEPT AS T-54 GOES MISSING FOR SIX MONTHS

RAJE TARGETS RAJASTHAN GOVERNMENT

OVER DEATH OF TIGRESS MT-4 AT MHTR

Kota: Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Friday accused the Congress government of mismanagement over the death of a tigress at the Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve, and said the re-introduction project of the big cat should be taken with seriousness. The nine-year-old full-term pregnant tigress — MT-4 — died on Thursday, with officials saying it was pregnant with three cubs and suffering from severe constipation. Dubbing the death of the tigress as devastating, Raje said it was yet another setback for the tiger project.

week by the Forest Department.

After getting permission from NTCA, the process for shifting of T-104 has been cleared and soon after about three-and-a-half-year T-104 will be shifted from

the enclosure built at Bhid Naka in Ranthambore. There was a demand to shift T-104 elsewhere. In the past, a committee was formed by the Forest Department to study the nature of T-104. The committee

In July, a proposal was prepared by the Chief Wildlife Warden of the Forest Department to shift T-104 to the enclosure built in Mukundara. In this regard, a letter was also written by the PCCF to the CCF of Ranthambore and the National Tiger Conservation Authority. But until now permission in this regard could not be obtained from NTCA.

Now after the death of tigress MT-4 in Kota's Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve, the tiger will be shifted to Udaipur's Sajjangarh Biological Park instead of Kota. According to information from the Forest Department, after getting permission to shift Tiger T-104, the preparations for shifting have also been started by the Forest Department.

Ranthambore Tiger Reserve has become a maze for tigresses and their cubs. Once lost, a tiger, tigress or cub cannot be traced. This has raised questions on the claims of forest department monitoring and tracking. Tigress 138, tiger T-3, cubs of T-79, young tiger T-131 have disappeared in Ranthambore. And the latest is tigress T-54 which has gone missing. This tigress has been missing since the last six months. The higher officials of the forest dept are clueless about the disappearance of tigers and cubs.

IPL AUTHORITIES FINED KOHLI AND GAMBHIR

The central protagonists of the IPL clash this season – Kohli and Gambhir – have between them seen the other end of the sports saga when they shared a deep, friendly bond. In 2009, Gambhir even gave away his Man of the Match award to Kohli after his maiden 100 for Team India.

Fans and lovers of the game hope that the duo will rekindle their early warm relationship and work together to help Indian cricket climb greater heights!

With temperatures soaring across the country, the start of May has been more than mercurial in IPL — 2023. The Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore had an intense first exchange at the Chinnaswamy, Bangalore, where Lucknow came out on top with a last ball win. The victory was celebrated with a lot of passion by the players and their coach, Gautam Gambhir. The gestures didn’t go down well with the always-passionate Virat Kohli who made sure to “give it back” after Bangalore won the second match between the two teams at the Lucknow Ekana stadium a few days ago! The result was that the tempers flared up after the match followed by a heated altercation between ex-Indian opener, Gautam Gambhir and current Superstar, Virat Kohli. The angry duo were in such a rage that they had to be separated by fellow players. IPL authorities fined both Kohli and Gambhir 100 percent of their match fees as they were found to have breached article 2.21 of the tournament’s code of conduct and brought the game into disrepute. Lucknow bowler Naveenul-Haq also had an exchange of words with Kohli during the game and was fined 50 percent of his match fee.

Later, in the dressing room, Kohli was seen celebrating the close victory with his team mates, in a video released by his franchise on social media. He can be heard saying, “that’s a sweet win boys. A sweet win. If you can give it, you got to take it. Otherwise, don’t give it” — a di-

Such fiery scenarios are an integral part of sport and IPL is the biggest money spinner in cricket with increased stakes for everyone, especially the players. The heightened passion sometimes results in ugly fights on field and there are plenty of previous examples of that in the 15-year IPL history. In fact, the Delhi duo of Kohli and Gambhir were involved in a similar tussle earlier in 2013. They were both

captains of their respective franchises and Gambhir at the time was leading the Kolkata Knight Riders.

ABOUT 2013

The angry duo were in such a rage that they had to be separated by fellow players. IPL authorities fined both Kohli and Gambhir 100 percent of their match fees as they were found to have breached article 2.21 of the tournament’s code of conduct and brought the game into disrepute. Lucknow bowler Naveen-ul-Haq also had an exchange of words with Kohli during the game and was fined 50 percent of his match fee.

That’s a sweet win boys. A sweet win. If you can give it, you got to take it. Otherwise, don’t give it.

ABOUT 2008

Earlier, in the inaugural IPL season in 2008, two stars of the Indian team, Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth were involved in a ‘slapgate’ incident. Mumbai In-

dians had lost the match against Kings XI Punjab by a huge margin and according to reports, Harbhajan, playing for Mumbai was so irritated with Sreesanth’s antics, the leading bowler for the Punjab side, that he slapped him. Thereafter, the images of Sreesanth crying went viral and the fiasco resulted in Harbhajan being banned from the rest of the season. But later, Harbhajan confirmed that they had resolved the issue between them after he apologised to Sreesanth.

One of the most dramatic visuals of IPL that still keeps getting replayed on social media is of West Indian star Keiron Pollard throwing his bat at Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc in the 2014 edition of IPL. After Starc playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore bowled a bouncer to Mumbai Indians’ Pollard, there was an angry verbal exchange. On the next ball, as Starc ran in, Pollard backed off but Starc went ahead with the delivery. This enraged Pollard to such an extent that he threw his bat at him and Chris Gayle had to step in to cool things down.

As the dramatic flare-ups in IPL reflect, Sports brings the best and worst of human emotions which makes fans connect more strongly as the adrenaline rush heightens contests. The central protagonists of the IPL clash this season — Kohli and Gambhir — have between them seen the other end of the sports saga when they shared a deep, friendly bond.

ABOUT 2009

In 2009, Gambhir even gave away his Man of the Match award to Kohli after his maiden 100 for Team India. Fans and lovers of the game hope that the duo will rekindle their early warm relationship and work together to help Indian cricket climb greater heights!

BJP on Friday fired a fresh salvo at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal amid the row over the Rs 45 crore expenditure on his residence, comparing him with the likes of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in terms of “luxury” linked to their “palaces”.

BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi played videos of Kejriwal’s old statements in which he presented himself as a crusader against leaders spending public money on expensive lifestyles, including big houses, and luxurious cars.

Trivedi hit out at Kejriwal, quoting his 2013 tweet in which he had targeted the then Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit for allegedly having 10 ACs in her house when so many people lived in slums. He accused the AAP leaders of playing an “important role” in creating a crisis of credibility in Indian politics and claimed that it is the conduct of the likes of him that causes distrust among people about the political class. Trivedi said government agencies will do their job as per the law but Kejriwal’s party should provide “political and moral” answers. Kejriwal’s luxurious palace unveils so many truths about him. The way and extent of the luxury Mr. Kejriwal’s palace possesses seem similar to Saddam Hussein’s and Kim Jong Un’s palaces one has heard.

Dr Archit Tiwari, who has been awarded the Fellow of the Indian Society Of Oral Implantologist (F.I.S.O.I) and Diplomate in Oral Implantology by the World Congress of Oral Implantology (Japan) for his work in the field of dental implants, completed his graduation in 2017 and an internship from Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Jaipur. In an exclusive interview with City First, Dr Tiwari talks about Sports dentistry, general care, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants!

Dr Archit, you are a certified sports dentist, how is it different from a regular dentist?

Dr Archit Tiwari emphasizes prevention as well as personalized attention, offering complete dental services in all areas including general care, cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. Fear of going to the dentist affects over 90% of people. Dental avoidance, the noise of drills, the fear of pain, phobia, inhibition and other concerns contribute to dental stress and anxiety. Dr Tiwari's desire to give the most comfortable dental experience possible has motivated him to import and implement the latest dental technology at Impladent, Tilak Nagar, Jaipur, from the ambience to treatment rooms and dental chairs. With sophisticated technology and one of the finest dentists in the world, he practices almost painless procedures for precise outcomes.

Sports dentistry is one of the most recent and upcoming fields in dentistry. It mainly includes the prevention and management of athletics-r elated orofacial injuries and associated oral diseases. Customised mouthguards are fabricated for athletes so that it fits properly and saves the oral cavity from any oral injuries while playing.

What attracted you to dentistry?

I have acknowledged and admired this profession since childhood and had the privilege to learn under the best that is my mother Dr Anjali Dave Tiwari, an ardent Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has inspired me every day with her compassion towards patient care.

What is the role of implantology in dental options for the elderly?

There isn’t really any age which is considered ‘too old for dental implant treatment’. A reasonably healthy person can safely and predictably have implants placed resulting in a vastly improved quality of life, assisting them to maintain a balanced nutritious diet and active lifestyle; remaining every bit as confident and socially engaging as a person with their natural teeth.

You also have a charity clinic at Jagatpura, how did that come about and how does it function?

Dr Archit Tiwari completed his junior residency in the Dept. of Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. He is the youngest implantologist in the country and has received various awards.

Dr Archit Tiwari is also a certified Sports dentist by the Institute of Sports Science & Technology. He specialised in making customised mouthguards for athletes & managing OroFacial Injuries. He is also a sports dentist at the sports injury centre, SMS Stadium Jaipur. Dr Archit is Asso. Fellow in Laser Dentistry By World Clinical Laser Institute (USA). He is even appointed as an Honorary Consultant dentist to the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar & his family. Affordable dental treatment, state-of-the-art facility, world-class technology and soothing ambience have positioned him in such a way to attract patients and celebrities from all across.

We have our charity clinic at Jagatpura, where we treat patients for the majority of treatments obtaining zero monetary benefits & provide some treatments at a very low and affordable cost. We started this because I used to experience regularly in my practice that many people want to get good quality treatment done and are in major pain but unfortunately, they cannot afford private clinics and face a lot of challenges in terms of hygiene and

You have been appointed as Honorary Consultant dentist to the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar & his family, how did this happen?

Hon’ble VP sir is very close to our family and in the initial days of his law practice, he use to be a close associate of my grandfather Justice VS Dave. He has been taking dental treatment from my mother Dr Anjali Dave Tiwari and now I am fortunate enough to fill her shoes as I have been appointed the Hony Consultant Dentist to Hon’Ble VP Sir.
