FOMENTO DE CENTROS DE ENSEÑANZA
Fomento de Centros de Enseñanza is an educational institution run by a group of parents and teachers that believe in the creation of schools with collaboration with families at the centre. The first Fomento school - Ahlzahir, in Córdoba - opened its doors in the 1963-64 academic year, and there are currently 35 Fomento schools in 11 Regions in Spain, with over 23,000 pupils, 16,000 families, 2,500 professionals and more than 80,000 former pupils. The education on offer is concluded with the Villanueva University, attached to the Complutense University of Madrid, where different levels of Education, Media, Law and Business are taught. Fomento schools are defined by personalised learning, educational excellence, parent involvement and Christian identity.
