PURE URBAN STYLE When I saw this bike the first time, strolling through St. Moritz on a winter evening, I was simply fascinated by its eye-catching beauty. Having seen thousands of bicycles on my yearly trip to Eurobike, the biggest bike trade fair worldwide, I knew instantly that this was something special – and that the people behind it must be different. And they were!
The company behind Rizoma is less than 20 years old, founded by Fabrizio and Fabio Rigolio in Ferno in the Italian province of Varese, just aside of Milan Malpensa Airport. With their clever idea “to give shape to movement” they use sophisticated design modelling techniques and 3D machining of motorcycle parts. Their innovative solutions, minimalist style and pure lines soon made them interesting partners for leading motorcycle companies, among them brands like Ducati, BMW and Harley Davidson. And then they came up with this crazy idea to create a unique bicycle. But let’s have the brain behind it, Fabrizio Rigolio, give us a personal insight into this phenomenal creation.

When was the idea born? How many sketches and prototypes were made before reaching the definitive model? We started in the most beautiful way… from passion. The idea was born some years ago.
