Around the world with Gebrüder Weiss
Gebrüder Weiss startet weltweite Mitmach-Aktion Würde man die Strecken aneinanderreihen, die verschiedene Verkehrsmittel im Auftrag von Gebrüder Weiss pro Jahr zu rücklegen, käme man mit der Gesamtlänge gleich mehrmals um den Globus. Allein die Distanz, die innerhalb des Unter nehmens jährlich mit Gabelstaplern zurückgelegt wird, reicht schon von Österreich bis nach Kasachstan. Vor diesem Hinter grund scheint die Herausforderung, mit der die Kampagne Cycling around the world with Gebrüder Weiss im April gestartet ist, machbar: Gemeinsam sollen nach dem Vorbild von Dennis Kailing im Rahmen der Aktion 40.075 Kilometer zurückgelegt werden, was der Länge des Äquators entspricht – auf dem Fahrrad. Und damit davon nicht nur die Gesundheit aller Teil nehmenden profitiert, sondern auch das Klima, kommt jeder geradelte Kilometer der Aktion »Firmenwald« zugute, die Gebrüder Weiss mit seinem Partner natureOffice umsetzt: Pro 40 gefahrene Kilometer wird in Togo ein Baum gepflanzt. Innerhalb von sechs Monaten sollen so 1.000 neue Bäume anwachsen. Für alle, die mitradeln, gibt es außerdem Preise pro absolvierter »CycleChallenge«.
Gebrüder Weiss launches open event worldwide If you were to add up all the kilometers that the various modes of transport cover for Gebrüder Weiss every year, the accumulated routes would encompass the planet several times. Even the total distance covered annually within the company by forklifts extends from Austria to Kazakhstan. With these dimensions in mind, the challenge of Cycling around the world with Gebrüder Weiss – a campaign launched in April – seems eminently doable. Following the example of Dennis Kailing, the route will extend 40,075 kilometers, the length of the equator – on a bicycle. And to ensure that not only those participating will profit health-wise, but the climate as well, every cycled kilometer will be tallied up for the “Company Forest” initiative that Gebrüder Weiss is hosting with its partner natureOffice: a tree will be planted in Togo for every 40 kilometers covered. Within six months, this should lead to at least 1,000 new trees. In addition, for everyone who collects kilometers for the plantings qualifies for prizes when they complete a “Cycle Challenge”.
So können Sie dabei sein An der Aktion Cycling around the world kann jeder teilnehmen, der oder die sich die App Radbonus auf ihrem Smartphone installiert und den Zugangscode »gwmoves« eingibt – Sie können also auch mit Ihren Kindern auf Gebrüder WeissTour fahren oder Freundinnen und Freunde dazu einladen. Um eine oder mehrere der Challenges zu erfüllen, haben alle Rad lerinnen und Radler Zeit bis zum 30. September 2022. Danach werden die Preise für die einzelnen Etappen verlost. Alle, die die erste Challenge »Euro Express« schaffen, bekommen ein praktisches Multifunktionshalstuch. Here’s how you can join the challenge: Anyone can participate in Cycling around the World. Simply install the app on your smartphone, and enter the campaign code “gwmoves” – and you’re in! That means you can also embark on Gebrüder Weiss tours with your children or invite your friends along for the ride. Bicyclists have time until October 31, 2022, to complete one or more of the Challenges. Prizes will be raffled off for each leg. Everyone who completes the first stage, “Euro Express”, will receive a practical multifunctional neck scarf.
