Cities as the centre of urbanising era are experiencing unprecedented expansions and much of this growth manifest in informal settlements that operate with informal economies. Indonesian cities are consistent with this phenomenon, including Bandung. Informal settlements have been treated unfairly since colonisation period and the condition is polarising as cities move forward. Located in the heart of Bandung, Kampung Braga, which is crossed by Cikapundung River as one of Bandung's most important features, is experiencing demolition and development pressure from Braga area, a renowned tourist destination in Bandung. The thesis is to strengthen the social and spatial connection in and between Kampung Braga and the surrounding thus Kampung Braga will become an integral part of Bandung's urban production.
