Back To School Donation Drive Kateleen Torres| Loara Key Club
My favorite event of the month was the Back to School Drive. Our inspiration to make this event was going to Starbucks and seeing a little basket and a flier asking for donations. It was technically the first in person event we had since the beginning of quarantine. Members had to go to their local Starbucks and donate back to school items. Since it is back to school season, kids in Anaheim are in need of school supplies (the less fortunate ones)- so we thought it would be a good idea to join in on this event. Personally, I donated 5 notebooks since those are a staple for any grade level. I hope we can do more charitable events this school year, it is awesome to be able to give back to our community any way we can. It was nice to see a lot more items in the bin later that week.
