NYE DOUBLES CHARITY GRANT

N

YEs Building Supplies has announced it will be doubling the funding amount awarded to local charities and community groups for its 2020 ‘Proud to be Local’ campaign. Proud to be Local, which has been running for two years, gives away £500, four times per year, to local groups and charitable endeavours that have been nominated by the public. 2019’s winners included Trafalgar Infant School, 1st Roffey Scout Group, Girlguiding Horsham and Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School. For 2020, NYEs Building Supplies will be increasing the amount to £1000 per charity. The Kingsfold-based business is calling out for nominations during January. Three nominations will then be shortlisted for a public vote to decide the winner. Rex Nye, Managing Director of NYEs Building Supplies, said: "It has been an absolute pleasure to help fund a

variety of local charities and community groups over the past two years. The work being done by these worthy causes doesn’t go unnoticed and we want to make even more of a mark in 2020 to highlight their contributions and reward their commitment to making a difference to our community. We would like as many people to get involved as possible by sending in a nomination and spreading the word about Proud to be Local. Who knows, your charity could be the recipient of £1000.” To make a nomination, simply email details of the cause and how the £1,000 would be used to proudtobelocal@dwnye.co.uk. Alternatively, nominations can be posted to D.W. Nye Proud to be Local c/o PMW Communications, Stane Court, Stane Street, Billingshurst RH14 9HP. Please ensure a contact name and telephone number are included with your entry. Nominations can be made in April, July and October. Please mention HORSHAM PAGES North when responding to adverts
