ENERO Y LOS PROPÓSITOS DE NUEVO AÑO

El mes de enero era importante para los antiguos romanos por ser el mes consagrado al dios Jano (que significa enero en latín). Jano, era el dios de dos caras, de los inicios y los finales, de mirar “hacia adelante y hacia atrás”

En la actualidad enero es el mes donde se inician los propósitos del nuevo año como ir al gimnasio, hacer dieta, ahorrar, emprender nuevas cosas, entre otras a. manera de mejorar la calidad de vida.

Sin embargo, algunos de los propósitos se van postergando a medida que pasa el tiempo, termina el año y se convierten de nuevo en los propósitos para el siguiente año.

¿A qué se puede deber esto? Principalmente a la motivación y sensación que genera ese sueño, esa meta. A veces sucede que se cumple el propósito, pero no se siente la emoción que nos imaginábamos que vendría y eso ocurre porque realmente no era lo que anhelaba el alma.

Por ello los invito a que este enero reflexionen acerca de sus propósitos y se tomen el tiempo de escribir al lado, qué emoción les genera imaginar si se cumple esa meta y con esa energía, emprender un plan de trabajo para que se lleve a cabo, o si es el caso cambiar ese propósito.

Todas las mañanas cuando te despiertes, decreta cómo te quieres sentir ese día e inicia tus actividades, al final de la jornada agradece por 3 cosas que te hayan sucedido en el día, veras que tus días van a tener una energía diferente.

JANUARY AND NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS LA

The month of January was important to the ancient Romans because it was the month consecrated to the god Janus (which means January in Latin). Janus was the two-faced god, of beginnings and endings, of looking "forwards and backwards."

Currently, January is the month where the New Year's resolutions begin, such as going to the gym, dieting, saving, starting new things, among in order to improve the quality of life.

However, some of the resolutions are postponed as time passes, the year ends and they become the resolutions for the following year again.

What can be the root cause of this? Mainly, the motivation and sensation generated by that dream and achieving that goal. Sometimes it happens that the goal is fulfilled, but the emotion that we imagined

would come is not felt and that happens because it was not really what the soul longed for.

For this reason, I invite you to reflect on your goals this January and take the time to write next to it, what emotion it generates for you to imagine if that goal is met and with that same energy, develop an achievable plan to carry it out.

Every morning when you wake up, verbally state how you want to feel that day and start your activities, at the end of the day give thanks for 3 things that have happened to you during the day, you will see that your days are going to have a different energy.

El pasado 18 de Diciembre la mítica selección Argentina levantó nuevamente la copa como campeón del mundo con su Capitán Lionel Messi en Qatar, cerrando con broche de oro para el continente americano este 2022.

Hace 36 años fue el turno para Diego Maradona en el mundial que tuvo lugar en mundial México 1986, pero antes esta gran selección ya había hecho historia.

El jugador conocido como el Matador – Mario Alberto Kempes por primera vez llevó a Argentina a ser campeón del mundo en aquel mundial que tuvo lugar en la misma tierra de la Patagonia, el

tango, la buena carne y el mate, Argentina 1978.

Este triunfo no solo es grande para este bello país, si no también para todas las américas donde regresa la Copa del Mundo como muestra del gran fútbol, un deporte que une pasiones y literalmente a todo el mundo.

A continuación encontrarás la gran historia de Lionel Messi a quien titulamos como "El capitán América". Asi mismo, el nombre de los jugadores de Argentina que disputaron la final ante Francia, un gran juego que se recordara de por vida.

Argentina no tuvo un camino fácil para ganar su tercera copa del mundo.

La selección Argentina dirigida por Lionel Scaloni sufrió desde el inicio, empezando con una derrota frente Arabia Saudita de 2 a 1, pero terminó con el premio mayor en el Mundial Qatar 2022, llegando finalmente la tan anhelada tercera estrella después de una final de infarto ante Francia que terminó 3-3 en los 120 minutos jugados y finalmente una victoria por parte de Argentina por 4-2 en los penales.

El gran sueño de Lionel Messi se cumplió en 2005 cuando se puso por primera vez la camiseta de Argentina, y su debut duró 47 segundos frente a Hungría pues le sacaron roja de entrada por un codazo que años más tarde el árbitro manifestó que daba para una tarjeta amarilla.

Su primer mundial fue en Alemania 2006 siendo el jugador más joven del torneo con 18 años, luego Sudáfrica 2010, Brasil 2014, Rusia 2018 y el que al parecer fue su último mundial como jugador Qatar 2022. El capitán de la selección Argentina, ha jugado 26 partidos mundialistas lo cual es un récord histórico y ha marcado 13 goles.

On December 18, the mythical Argentine team raised the cup again as world champion with its Captain Lionel Messi in Qatar, closing with a huge win for the American continent this 2022.

36 years ago, Diego Maradona did it in 1986 in the World Cup that took place in Mexico, but before this great team had already made history.

The player known as the Matador – Mario Alberto Kempes for the first time led Argentina to be world champions in that world cup that took place in the same land of Patagonia, tango, good

meat and mate, Argentina in 1978.

This victory is not only great for this beautiful country, but also for the entire Americas where the World Cup returns as a sign of great soccer, a sport that unites passions and literally the entire world.

Es cierto que las agendas laborales y programación de tareas puede que suenen justamente a todo lo contrario a una rutina de cuidado personal, ¿pero me creerías si te confieso que es una de las maneras en las que he aprendido a mimarme en los últimos años?

Yo también durante mucho tiempo me perdí en la organización de mis propios objetivos diarios, me saturaba de tareas e intentaba llevar una agenda, pero semanalmente claudicaba en el intento.

Por supuesto, era de esperarse que este comportamiento me llevara a mantenerme en un estado de constante estrés, de malhumor, porque simplemente nunca podía lograr una estructura organizativa.

Las investigaciones en neuropsicología explican que las acciones que se repiten constantemente a través del tiempo, se convierten en hábitos, y eso es lo que experimenté cuando encontré la manera de organizarme semanalmente.

¿Cómo lo logré? Para empezar, comencé a tomar un día y una hora específica en la semana para organizar los pendientes por venir durante los próximos días. De esta manera, aprendí

a configurar mi mente a que entrara en un estado anímico relajado, que me permite relajarme.

Debido a que suele ser mucho más holgado en actividades, mi programación semanal suelo dejarla para los domingos en la tarde, en el cual reservo un espacio de 15 o 20 minutos para fijar una intención junto a todas las tareas que debo concretar en los próximos 5 o 6 días.

Incluso, soy flexible con la hora en que lo hago. Lo importante para mí es hacerlo el domingo, porque es el día en el que ya me he estructurado mentalmente. Es una tarea que practico sin siquiera pensarlo.

Como bien señalé anteriormente, mientras voy marcando las pautas y citas a cumplir próximamente, me gusta fijar una intención para trabajar los próximos días. Por ejemplo, puede que el ritmo de trabajo sea mayor, y por tanto; escribo en mi agenda que mi intención sea mantenerme en calma.

Fijar una emoción mientras redacto mis objetivos semanales, me ayuda a conectar con ese estado cada vez que reviso mi agenda, por lo que es un aspecto clave en la consolidación de tal hábito.

Trabajar en tu agenda semanalmente permite tener un cuadro general del escenario, y así disminuir el estrés laboral. Espero que te sea de ayuda en este nuevo año que apenas inicia.

It is true that work schedules and task scheduling may sound like the exact opposite of a personal care routine, but would you believe me if I confess that it is one of the ways in which I have learned to pamper myself in recent years?

I also lost myself in organizing my own daily goals for a long time. I was saturated with tasks and tried to keep an agenda, but every week I gave up trying.

Of course, it was to be expected that this behavior would lead me to stay in a state of constant stress and would put me in a bad mood because I simply could never achieve an organizational structure.

Research in neuropsychology explains that actions that are constantly repeated over time become habits, and that is what I experienced when I found a way to organize myself weekly.

How did I do it? To get started, I started taking a specific day and time each week to organize the to-dos to come over the next few days. In this way, I learned to set my mind to enter a relaxed state of mind, which allows me to be more calm.

Because I tend to be much more comfortable in movement and day to day activities, I usually leave my weekly planning for Sunday afternoons, in which I reserve a space of 15 or 20 minutes to set a schedule along with all the tasks that I must complete in the next 5 or 6 days.

I'm even flexible with the time I set aside for planning. The important thing for me is to do it on Sunday, because it is the day in which I have already structured myself mentally. It is a task that I practice without even thinking about it.

As I pointed out before, while I am setting my to-do list of weekly objectives and appointments to meet soon, I like to set a goal to work towards for the next few days. For example, the pace of work may be higher, and therefore; I write in my diary that my intention is to stay calm.

Focusing on positive emotions while writing my weekly goals helps me connect with that state every time I review my agenda, so it is a key aspect in reinforcing a good habit.

Working on your agenda weekly allows you to have a general picture of the scenario, and thus reduce work stress. I hope it helps you in this new year that is just beginning.

LA MÚSICA

UNA PROFESIÓN SONORA

Cuando se piensa en música, generalmente relacionamos esta palabra con diversión, reunión, carnavales, fiestas, conciertos, cantantes, entre otros. Muchos de nosotros acudimos a la música para relajarnos, divertirnos o hacer de ella nuestra compañía mientras pasamos algún momento en particular, sin embargo, pocos saben los que implica asumir la música como profesión.

Empecemos entonces por saber que la música como profesión, hace parte de la formación universitaria hace mas de dos siglos, sin sumar a ello los procesos de formación que tuvieron los grandes músicos referentes para quienes asumimos la música como profesión) Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Schuman, entre muchos), para ese tiempo los procesos de formación eran personalizados y se asumían como “discípulos”, de otros grandes mentores.

La música entonces como profesión, aparece en el contexto universitario a comienzos del siglo XX, con denominaciones como Escuela Superior de Música, Escuela de Música, programa superior de música entre otros, desplazando poco a poco los nombres de “conservatorio de música”. Independientemente del nombre de la institución en donde se estudia, deben saber que para ser musico profesional se deben empezar los estudios desde una edad temprana, ello por un asunto de aprestamiento motor con el instrumento seleccionado. Con ello quiero decir que no existe un instrumento más difícil que otro, quizá esto se podría contradecir, sin embargo, lo que sí importa es que para ser un musico profesional, se debe asumir con mucha responsabilidad y disciplina el estudio del instrumento seleccionado.

Es común escuchar entre la gente preguntas como: ¿tú eres musico? y ante la respuesta afirmativa a esta pregunta, seguidamente preguntan, ¿y cuántos instrumentos sabes tocar? Y con algún nivel de decepción escuchan esta respuesta, “uno, yo soy violinista”, y algunas veces la conversación continua así: “a mi tío también le gusta la música y toca varios instrumentos”. esto que suena gracioso quizá, desconoce una realidad de la vida universitaria del musico.

Para el ingreso a los estudios universitarios de un musico, debe demostrar conocimientos previos en el instrumento que va a profesionalizar, como es temas de gramática musical, armonía, solfeo e historia de la música, esto sin contar que, en algunas universidades para llegar a este examen, se debe aprobar previamente un examen de conocimientos generales en literatura, matemáticas, ciencias, y otras áreas del conocimiento. Desde aquí ya existe un primer filtro grande para iniciar los estudios. Ahora bien, una vez se es admitido a la carrera universitaria, se deben inscribir al menos 5 asignaturas por semestre: teoría música, historia de la música, armonía, Orquesta y por supuesto el Instrumento, para nuestro caso, Violín I.

Se debe estudiar como mínimo 6 horas diarias el instrumento, independientemente de las otras clases incluyendo la hora semanal de instrumento con el maestro de violín. En estas 6 horas diarias se debe preparar el repertorio que le asigna el maestro, generalmente este repertorio incluye estudios de técnica que le mejoran el rendimiento en el instrumento, y una obra de cada uno de los periodos de la música, es decir: una obra del periodo barroco siglo XVII, una obra del periodo clásico S. XVIII,

una obra del periodo romántico S. XIX, una obra contemporánea S. XX. Esto es lo mínimo que debe tocar en el recital de fin de semestre cada estudiante de música y a ello se suma, el repertorio que se interpreta en la Orquesta, y la literatura y los ejercicios que debe cumplir o leer para aprobar las demás asignaturas.

Ser musico realmente es una profesión que implica un alto sacrificio, es por eso que cuando se logra ser un musico destacado, como YO-YO MA en el violonchelo, Itzhak Perlman en el violín, Arthur Rubinstein en el Piano, entre muchos, se debe reconocer su esfuerzo, han dedicado su vida misma al instrumento, así que, debemos valorar mucho mas a estos profesionales y entender por qué esta profesión es tan compleja y al mismo tiempo subvalorada en términos económicos, sociales y culturales.

When you think of music, we generally associate this word with fun, gatherings, carnivals, parties, concerts, singers, among others. Many of us turn to music to relax, to have fun or make it our company while we spend some time alone, however, few know what it means to disembark into music as a profession.

Let's start then by acknowledging that music as a profession has been part of university education for more than two centuries, without adding to it the training processes that the great musicians had, for whom we recognize as music professionals (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Schuman, among many), at that time the training processes were personalized and they were trained as "disciples" of other great mentors.

During that time, music as a profession,

appears in the university context at the beginning of the 20th century, with names such as Escuela Superior de Música, Escuela de Música, Programa Superior de Música among others, gradually displacing the names of “Music Conservatory”. Regardless of the name of the institution where one studies, you should know that to be a professional musician you must start your studies from an early age, this for a matter of motor preparation with the selected instrument. By this I mean that there is no instrument that is more difficult than another, perhaps this could be contradicted, however, what does matter is that to be a professional musician, the study of the selected instrument must be assumed with great responsibility and discipline.

This sounds funny perhaps, but ignores the reality of the musician's university life.

For a musician to enter university studies, he must demonstrate previous knowledge in the instrument that he is going to professionalize, such as musical grammar, harmony, solfeggio and music history, not to mention that, in some universities to get to this exam, you must first pass a general knowledge exam in literature, mathematics, science, and other areas of knowledge. From here there is already a first large filter to even start to study. It is the start of 2023…let’s talk about overcoming barriers.

Barriers are objects like fences or other obstacles that prevent someone movement or access. As adults, we have physical barriers that may prevent us from attending at gym whether the barrier may be time, not sure what exercise to do, concerned about injuring yourself, what to do with your children, or may be a language barrier. As the Latino Community has grown here in the United States, there is a need for Spanish speaking individuals who are able to work in all businesses that can translate for our Latino Community.

A BUDGET?

• Start with the ornaments. Keep only the ornaments that are in good condition. Store them in clear bags sorted by color or style.
