This is not just any old boutique. Like a New York deli, it has a constantly changing display of new designer brands at affordable prices. The founders of this concept store, fashionistas Agata Gold and Christiane Seitz, have consciously created a counterpoint to the high-end fashion circus as self-styled ambassadors for an “affordable luxury” segment. A far cry from the trend-driven multinationals, almost every month one of them travels to Paris to seek out fashion items for their boutique, and in doing so, they bring a touch of Parisian nonchalance to Vienna.

Kärntner Straße 51, 1010 Vienna, +43 (0)1 512 78 01, Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–6.30 p.m., Sat, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., popp-kretschmer.at

On three stories, customers find a selection of the who’s who of fashion brands: Alberta Ferretti, Blumarine, Emilio Pucci, Elie Saab, Jenny Packham, Moschino Couture, Oscar de la Renta, Stuart Weitzman, Mary Katrantzou, Balmain Paris, Giuseppe Zanotti Design. And that is only part of the list!
