Children's Art Project
The Children's Art Project at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center began in 1973 with a volunteer's idea to create a Christmas card from a child's artwork. Today, it has culminated into a more than 6 million dollar business. With a goal of making life better for children with cancer, The Children's Art Project features the original artwork of young cancer patients on seasonal note cards and gift items. Through worldwide sales of these products, the project has funded millions of dollars worth of programs that benefit cancer patients and their families.
