TRURO & PENWITH COLLEGE Art and design students from the Ofsted Outstanding Truro and Penwith College always look forward to their spring and summer exhibitions, which are now into their 15th year. Whilst this year is no exception, students and staff had to get creative to adapt to the lockdown restrictions, but the result - the College’s first-ever online exhibition – has been well worth the wait. This year’s exhibition, entitled ‘Vision 20/20’, celebrates the final projects created by talented and innovative second year Art and Design students, from both Truro and Penwith
Colleges, and the first year Art and Design students from Truro College, as well as adult part time learners. On its opening day, the online exhibition welcomed over 1,000 virtual visitors to its ten different galleries, showcasing work from courses including fine art, silversmithing, product design, textiles and ceramics. The online exhibition, which can now be viewed anywhere in the world, is not only a celebration of the student’s work but is also a great way to get an insight into the breadth of courses available at the College, from part-time and leisure courses to
A Levels, and Diplomas; there are options to suit all ages and abilities. Vision 20/20 is now open for entry online, all you need to do is sit down with a cup of coffee and enjoy the show. Follow the College’s social media for more information or visit www.truropenwith.ac.uk/events to access Vision 20/20.
