There is a seemingly endless list of things essential oils can be used for. Some of the easier things are as simple as using a couple of drops as perfume or to add to an oil diffuser for aromatherapy. Other DIYs only require a few more steps, such as making a body scrub or cleaning products. There are so many different scents to choose from that help with a variety of things. Lavender is generally perceived to be a relaxing scent and is a common one to diffuse, tea tree oil is great for spot-treating acne, diluted peppermint oil can help ease headaches and nausea, and diluted eucalyptus oil can clear one’s sinuses, to name a few. Now you may be wondering how to try out an essential oil or two, but never fear. Here are two simple DIYs to get you started: Make your own essential oil room/pillow spray: Materials Needed: Small, fine mist spray bottle 4 ounces of water 15 drops of an essential oil 2 teaspoons of witch hazel (optional)

Step 1: Gather all the ingredients. They can all be found at just about any in-person store or Amazon. Step 2: Measure the 4 ounces of water and pour it into the spray bottle.

Step 3: Add 15 drops of the essential oil to the spray bottle. Depending on the strength of the essential oil chosen, though, less or more may be better. (Tip: start with a few drops and add until the smell is strong enough for your personal preference.)
