5 TH DESIGN BIENNIAL

2012-2013

Inauguration of the 5th Design Biennial held in Santiago, Chile. Began as a third year construction workshop project taught by designer Ricardo Lang, where prototypes and concepts for the celebration ritual were developed.

Later, I was invited to participate in the production of the installation for the Biennial’s inauguration, assuming the production direction of the celebration modules and budget administration.

Multiple modules were created, each with an opening mechanism. Simultaneously, these modules unfold to reveal the object of the ritual.

THE DARK CLOUD

2021

“From Data to Art” is a collaboration between Elisava’s Master’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering (MEDI) and IDEAL Centre d’arts Digitals de Barcelona.

“The Dark Cloud” is a project whose aim is to make visible the environmental impact of our digital interaction. Through research, analysis and data visualisation with Processing, we have calculated this impact in terms of CO2 emanation by concept of use and screen time, energy consumption and sources of electrical generation, in order to visualise this impact.

The visualisation consists of the journey of the bits and the representation that breaks the paradigm of the immateriality of virtuality through the graphic visualisation of the amount of CO2 emitted by each interaction and its cumulative amount.

KARE

Kare is a conceptualisation project for the creation of an interactive system to strengthen networks of care and mutual support. For this purpose, merging technology, science and art, an interactive device dedicated to the expressivity of emotions and connectivity between individuals was designed. It is a device capable of interacting with one or more sibling devices to facilitate users’ recognition of emotions through physical reactions, management on an individual and collective level as a practice of mutual support.

We experimented with physiological sensorics, wireless communication devices, programming of communication protocols and an interaction study regarding emotions and links between individuals for networking.

THE EUROPEAN MUNICIPALIST ROUTE MAP REPORT

The project is a mapping of the current European municipalist movement. The collective mapping process developed an analytical approach to provide a multidimensional understanding of the values and practices of each organisation.

One of the results of the project is the compilation of territorial reports, providing information on the

actors, analysing this information and creating a data visualisation and graphical image of the European municipalist ecosystem.
