SCOV Charity Works benefits Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse, which helps victims of domestic abuse. Emerge! provides support and transitional housing to women and children in crisis. They help educate the community by providing presentations on domestic abuse, as well as counseling to child survivors. Donations can be brought to our monthly meetings. A partial list of our Wish List of Most Needed Items: New clothing (all sizes and gender), new underwear (all sizes, women, men, girls, boys), new socks (all sizes), full-sized toiletries, men’s products, diapers and PullUps, all sizes. And much more. Go to www.emergecenter. org. Charity Works also supports IMPACT of Southern AZ by collecting a specific food product each month. February is citrus month. Want to grow some delicious citrus or looking to improve the health of your trees, but not sure where to start? Then come join us for a lively and informative discussion of the best methods for growing citrus. Our speaker this month will be Deb North, a Pima County Master Gardener. Bring your extra citrus to share with members. Our meeting will be Saturday, February 12, 2-4 PM, Catalina Vista. Due to Covid concerns, masks will be mandatory. Havurah sadly announces that we will be cancelling all inperson events until further notice. We have taken into consideration the voices and concerns of our membership and have acted accordingly.
