ioux Falls homeowners have a new option when it comes to fulfilling their needs and wants in home improvement. Universal Windows Direct, a franchise locally owned and operated by Kevin Rasmussen, recently opened a new location in Sioux Falls in September 2021. Seeing the housing market continue to grow in the Sioux Falls region, Kevin found it to be the perfect time to expand his business from the Sioux City location that has been operating since July of 2018. Kevin, a Sioux City native, has spent 22 years in the construction industry bringing a wealth of knowledge to the customers he serves through Universal Windows Direct. “I started my construction company, KR Home improvement back in 1999 and grew it to 5 employees,” shares Rasmussen. “I have always loved the construction industry and being able to help a homeowner bring their vision to life.” A father of 3 kids, two girls and one boy, Kevin has enjoyed watching his son continue in his footsteps, graduating with a business management degree and helping in the business. “I started Universal Windows Direct to offer great products to the customers I was working with on home remodeling projects. In addition to Universal Windows Direct, Kevin continues to operate KR Home Improvement for remodeling projects like home additions, bathroom redo’s, kitchen upgrades and decks.
