veteran audiologist has opened her own shop in Sioux Falls. In June, Angela Sieh Ceretto opened an audiology practice, Pinnacle Audiology, LLC on the

bustling corner of 77th and Minnesota. Angela (Angi) has 20 years of experience as an audiologist, but her personal experience with hearing loss started much earlier. “My dad lost some hearing in one ear from a childhood accident. He was never in denial about his hearing, he just never did anything about his problem. I grew up watching him struggle. It created a lot of stress in our family due to

misunderstandings

and

missed

communications.

She recalled being a teenager and a flock of birds lifted out of a tree where her dad was standing. “I looked at my dad and said, ‘wow, they were loud.’ He had no idea what I was talking about because he had not heard them.” Far too many people put off hearing care for years she says. “When I finished my graduate program, I fitted my dad with his first pair of hearing aids.” Being able to make a difference in an individual’s quality of life is a major goal for Angi and her new business, but so is affordability. Before opening, she did research on the audiology market in Sioux Falls and found a niche of service. “What makes my practice unique is that it is built on a fully unbundled service model – there is a separate fee for each expert service and itemized separately from the cost of the
