SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIPS The competition was fierce, but the smiles were all around at the annual Arbutus Squash Club Championships

T

he 2021 Arbutus Squash Club Championships were a blast this year. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event was much smaller than in previous years. However, the size of the tournament didn't put a damper on the spirit and gameplay. There were some excellent matchups. Luke Elliot snatched the Men's A Club Champion crown with

a nail biting final that went right to the 5th game. Another close game saw Garo Deyrmenjian win the Men’s B category. Rounding out the winners was Rob Heppenstall fighting his way to capture the Men's C trophy. Special thanks to member, Ryan Cook who meticulously carved beautiful, wooden trophies for the winners.
