DAY 1: WELCOME TO BONNIE EDINBURGH!
Arrival to Edinburgh. Take the Airlink from the airport to the city centre of Edinburgh. Depending on the time of arrival you can already start with a brief tour to familiarise yourself with the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Enjoy a refreshing pint in one of the many pubs in the city. 3x overnights in central Edinburgh.
DAY 2: EXPLORE EDINBURGH
Put on your comfy shoes and start your tour around Edinburgh. We recommend to start in Dean Village. A picturesque collection of medieval houses build along the small stream ‘Water of Leith’. Continue walking toward St Andrew Square where we suggest to have a coffee break at the cosy café ‘Burr &Co’ as you will need to recharge your batteries for the next stop. Walk up the Calton Hill for a breath-taking view over Edinburgh. You will also have the chance to have a glimpse at the Scottish Highlands. If the Calton Hill was not challenging enough, you can also climb the St. Arthurs Seat. Walk back toward the busy Princes St and listen to one of the many pipers performing Scottish folk songs. DAY 3: SCOTTISH HISTORY
Walk up to the Edinburgh Castle. We recommend to walk up along ‘The Mound’ and ‘Ramsay Lane’ for more scenic views over the Princess St Gardens. Visit the Edinburgh Castle at your own pace. In case you didn’t hear any pipers yesterday, you will for sure do if you walk along the Royal Mile towards the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official residency of his Majesty the King in Scotland. In the evening you will attend a traditional Scottish Show including dinner.
DAY 4: TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
Depending on your flight time you may enjoy free time in Edinburgh before you are heading back to the airport. summer months.
