A
s a young boy, Dr. Kurt Jackson, a vitreo-retinal surgeon, pictured himself seeing patients in his own office and caring for them like family. “That’s what really drove me to open my own practice,” he says. “So many things in medicine are moving to volume care, and people are becoming numbers. I want my patients to have an alternative to that and know they have my complete attention.” At Jackson Eye Care, Dr. Jackson helps manage and care for issues such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal detachment, retinal tears and complications of hypertension in the eyes. His courteous and accommodating office staff also makes patients feel cared for and special. His wife, Kai, is the office administrator.
