PArks Jennings Environmental Education Center
JENNINGS ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER Located in Slippery Rock, Jennings is a unique combination of prairie and forest. It is the only public and protected prairie in Pennsylvania and features the endangered Massasauga rattlesnake. Visitors can enjoy hikes on the five-mile trail system. The most popular time to visit is July, when the blazing star is in bloom.
GLADE RUN LAKE Located in Middlesex Township, this 50-acre man-made lake is surrounded by 100 acres of natural forest and farmlands. Used for recreation, conservation and education, this beautiful lake offers fishing, hiking, birding, winter activities, paddling, and electricpowered boating.
ALAMEDA PARK Alameda Park offers a variety of recreational activities including playgrounds, picnic areas, a dek hockey rink, baseball fields, and a community waterpark. The newest addition to the park is the 20-mile mountain bike and hiking trail system.
