To The Men We Love

We had a great first quarter. Thank you to our readers, sponsors, and advertisers.

This is a love message to all our readers planning their wedding. The best advice I can give you is to savoir every moment planning your wedding day.

The reality is you should have already committed your lives to each other if you are at the stage of planning your wedding. The wedding is simply a public display of your love to your fiends, and families. They are simply celebrating your union together and witnessing the blending of two people from two different backgrounds, that promise to love, cherish, respect, honor and build a family life together. You should already be friends. Continue to build on that foundation.

Therefore one of the most important things is to surround yourselves with beautiful people who wish you well, as much as you want to surround yourselves with beautiful possessions as you create the home of your dreams that will be sustainable and have meaning to you both.

Gentlemen, this issue is dedicated to you. It is ok for you to get involved and express your wants and needs in this marriage as well as your wedding day. Walk into this union with purpose. Take time for yourself and your mental health. Talk things out. Seek advise. Its ok if you don’t know everything. No one does. You are enough. Be bold. Be sensitive. Be vulnerable. Be loving. Invite the right people into your space that will guide you and want to see you succeed in every aspect of your life. Seek spiritual guidance, something higher than yourself.

Congratulations to you both as you begin your new life.

With thanks, Myrdith

FOR ALL YOUR EVENT PLANNING CONSULTANCY

We didn’t put the word “world” in the title of World Bride Magazine without compelling reasons. We think globally, inclusively and with an open mind to new cultures. This issue is an exploration of the grooms. Their pre and post wedding needs are no less important than the ladies. Rejoice, replenish and rebuild is our mantra for ensuring you are in the right state to embark on your new life.

Elizabeth is where the experts go when they need advice, so if you need to know your event is going to go off without a hitch, you should be contacting Elizabeth. Don't just take our word for it, here are some testimonials from global wedding industry leaders.

Elizabeth is astute at finding solutions to problems in a strategic and methodical manner. She is adept at reading between the lines to get right to the root of a task and what is utterly wonderful, and quite rare, is that she truly understands luxury craftsmanship. Having worked at the highest level within her industry Elizabeth interprets these skills in an inspiring and creative fashion. After many years honing her craft she has acquired a fountain of knowledge and experience and imparts that knowledge in an enthusiastic, fun, interesting and supportive fashion.

I came over from Vienna for a 2 day one to one business consultation with Elizabeth and it was one of the best business decisions I ever made. Despite stiff opposition in my industry, she showed me how to build and grow my luxury brand and now I am one of the top cake makers in Vienna.

Our cover star, Kenji, shines in an Alexander McQueen suit. We celebrate his modern look and his mixed ancestry ( Japanese and French)— symbolic of a new generation of male beauty. His mesmerizingly good looks were photographed by Sean Patrick Watters and styled by Fashion Designer and Celebrity Stylist, Carlton Jones.

We also headed to Milan for mens fashion week in January, in our quest to explore the Italian menswear point of view—always something to learn there. The Italians take fashion seriously as their pasta, especially during fashion week. We attended a rip-roaring Philippe Plein Sport presentation where Mr.Plein launched a mobile shopping van. soon to be driving across Europe bringing shopping to where people are instead of the other way around. The venerable Italian driving shoe creator, Tods, packed a villa with

a presentation in which celebrities were shoulder to shoulder with buyers, editors and friends of the CEO, Diego Della Valle. We checked in on new brands, unfamiliar to American men called Lardini, a company that espouses simplicity and high-quality craftsmanship.

For our groom focused issue we traveled far and wide from Doha, Qatar to Colorado right in our own backyard. From the inception of World Bride over 15 years ago we have traversed the globe to bring attention to the Middle East. This issue we give world traveler and successful business woman, Amal Ameen, a platform, whose Qatar based luxury emporium and fragrance, Soul, is a symbol of females taking the reins of their destiny in that part of the world.

And we haven’t forgotten life’s practicalities with stories on taxes, and the hottest men's grooming products along with some of life’s treasures— flowers chocolates and don’t forget fast cars. Grooms, it’s your time to shine— so shine bright like a diamond.

Enjoy! Amour! Mimi

WHERE & HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

Our love story began at Phodi’s cousin's wedding in the United Kingdom. Born and raised in the United States, I visited England that summer for the wedding. Phodi’s cousin and I met at a study abroad and became best of friends, and I was one of her bridesmaids. At the wedding, we both

spotted each other and started asking some of the family about each other. Phodi came up to me at the end of the ceremony to introduce himself, so we spoke a few words, and that was it. The next day we both went on Instagram to find one another, and from there, we started talking every day. We both started to travel back and forth between the United States and England any chance we could get. We dated long-distance for two years before I moved to England to live together. A year later, Phodi proposed, and we are happily married with a baby on the way and moving into our first place we bought together.

Finance & Investing

You’ve said the “I do’s” or the big day is just around the corner. My greatest hope for you is that before you discussed what your epic wedding song was going to be for the first dance you’ve already talked in great depth on this subject: finances.

I get amazed at how many couples will overlook this incredibly important topic prior to getting married. Finances play a very large role in marriage, with investing shortly thereafter. As one of the leading topics of conflict in a couple, it’s crucial to have the conversations deep and early and honestly regarding finances and investments to avoid greater issues and disconnect down the line.

“Marriage has a major impact on your finances. If one partner is poor at managing expenses, doesn't communicate, puts the couple in debt, and isn't focused on the future, this can really drag down the other spouse and their financial situation,” shares Doug Raible, President of Sterling Heights Financial.

Combining finances as a married couple has incredible upside and opportunity as well. Raible continues, “If both spouses are adamant on saving, and investing for a common goal, then marriage can be extremely positive financially. Two people earning and investing will be much faster at building financial security than one individual on their own.”

Interviewing two leading experts in the financial and investing sector, here are five top tips for newlyweds to create financial and investing success early on:

INHERENT

MENSWEAR

Taylor Draper’s journey from graphic designer and branding specialist to fashion designer and founder of a menswear brand, Inherent, is a story of perseverance and overcoming mental health difficulties. It starts with a complex and stressful end of a relationship, which prompted him to see a therapist for the first time. Wanting to present himself in the best light, he dressed up for his first appointment, which made him feel

put together. He realized how empowering a well-fitted suit can be and felt a calling to start a fashion business. He named his brand Inherent, but this guy sells much more than tailored suits. Along with the purchase of a made-to-order suit is a 360 experience of being pampered mentally and physically. The process of being fitted in an Inherent, made-toorder suit is not just about measurements and pinning—it goes way beyond.

Plein Sport hosted a rip-roaring presentation in Milan in which Philippe Plein also debuted his ground-breaking concept truck and mobile store that will travel across Europe offering sporty options on the go. The collection focuses on functionality and is engineered to support an active lifestyle—comfort and technical attributes are at its core. From mountain hiking to your daily activities, Plein sport fits in with an active lifestyle with everything from technical jackets to athletic sneakers, all with that Euro-edge that Plein does so well.

These impeccably crafted sartorial menswear looks have the luxurious simplicity Gabriela Hearst is known for. She’s infused the collection with pops of vibrant color and tonal suiting for a bold take on classics. She deftly uses recycled cashmere felt and repurposed wool as fabrications to create these architectural pieces that will be perennials in a man’s wardrobe. Buying a Gabriela Hearst piece is an investment that will pay off for years.

Creative Sophistication at Stephane Rolland S

téphane Rolland's Spring 2023 Couture Collection took one to an imaginary world mixed with sophistication, luxury, creativity, art, royalty, and nature. His highly sculptural collection shows his admiration for Arab civilization used in his silhouettes and the 70s architecture coupled with the modernity of Brazillian culture. His mother’s experience working at Pictorial Services heavily influenced his monochromatic color palette. Rolland accessorized many looks with large bracelets and earrings in metal, sculpted wood, and gemstones like emeralds, jade, and malachite. The presentation commences with structure, onto Brazil’s Amazonian roots and the Indigenous people from the rainforest, and concludes with Brazil’s victory, their gold, and treasures that inspired the splendor of the church in Bahia.

A Night To Remember With ' ' Ese Azenabor

Grand congratulations are in order for the Nigerian-born, Canadian designer Esé Azénabor, one of today’s most respected couture bridal and eveningwear designers. Azénabor’s expansion to New York on Madison Avenue, marks the brand’s success. The boutique opening took place in mid-February of this year, among her family and close friends, some of which are diplomats like Ambassador Lot Peter Egopija, the Consul General of Nigeria, and Prince Dimitri. Socialites and others were spotted at the event— Vanessa Noel, Debra Lee, Don Murphy, Rolanda Watts and Peter Tarantino.

The designer unveiled a few key pieces during the grand opening with a rich color palette using brocade fabrics and embroidered organza overlays. Also seen were petal inspired dresses in bold brights and the designer’s signature high-slit gown with feathers and detachable skirt. There were bridal silk-satin overcoats, embellished with luminescent pearls and a Greco-Roman influenced beaded column gown was a stand out. Contrasting ideas of hard structure and soft fluidity were accomplished through a juxtaposition of fabrics. Floral motifs were another theme throughout the presentation.

Do You Need To Hire A Planner?Wedding

Although I’ve been a wedding planner for over twenty-three years, I didn’t think I needed a planner for my wedding. I realized I was wrong, but is it right for you? Let’s see.

I’m biased and will try to address the circumstances where I agree that hiring a planner is extra. Most of us can agree that having paid help is welcome. However, when is it too much or unnecessary? Here are five keys that should help you decide.

Tabletop Your Dining Experience

The wedding season is upon us!

What couples desire as gifts or gifts to give their loved ones represent tokens of love, celebratory artifacts, treasures to share, connoisseur collectibles, and much more. With that, gift selections should artfully speak a unique voice.

We took a unique approach to this and asked my husband, Troy, to create a gift registry from a gentleman’s perspective. Here, he showcases his design, creativity, and luxury taste. Men, too, can take on the roles of planners for their weddings, engagement events or even redecorate the home. No matter the occasion, we want to help fulfill

those shopping needs with a guide to exceptional registry gifts that will save you time and make a distinct impression on your beloved recipients. To make your gift buying more conversational, we covered the bases by offering distinguished, sustainable products from Black-owned businesses. We found that 54Kibo hit all the marks.

Their website features the most striking and uncommon items for the home, office, and other lifestyle needs. 54Kibo brings exclusive luxury décor directly from and by African artisans. Here are Troy’s high-end home items to consider for your gift-giving season.

In our home, we contribute our distinct creative voices towards unveiling our oneness, and the message is always the same: ‘We want to stand out.’ We believe that is the goal for many couples and couples-to-be. Because our global reach gives us the advantage to present you with curated products for a bespoke life, let Worldbride Magazine help you showcase that harmony in style.

BOULDER, COLORADO The Charm and Allure of

Boulder isn’t necessarily the first place that comes to mind when you think of Colorado, but it should be. Just 40 minutes from Denver, this historic, quaint town is home to two charming, luxurious hotels.

The Boulderado was built in 1909 by the citizens of Boulder to host visitors and future students of the new university up the hill. The original structure – a landmark property – stands proudly on a city block, steps from the bustling Pearl Street. It is home to one of the most inviting lobbies I have ever seen. The original wood frames the reception desk leading you up the grandiose staircase to the mezzanine, and the rail that skirts around the atrium held up by a colorful stained-glass window.

Mia, the wedding director, picturesquely described a ceremony at the helm of the mezzanine landing halfway up the staircase that suspends the couple mid-air as their family and friends sit along the rail. Imagine how the bride must feel descending the staircase running her hand along that smooth wood like so many before her.

The suites in the original building are typically offered for the wedding party preparation and have gorgeous natural light and original furnishings and wallpaper, making each one unique.

Discovering The Allure and Tranquility of

HOPE TOWN, BAHAMAS

Traveling has me in the tightest chokehold. Seeing the world breathes life into my heart, and I don’t want to stop. I’ve landed a life centered around the ocean. So, the Bahamas was the next stop to explore.

Nassau is widely visited when people travel to the Bahamas. However, Hope Town, Bahamas, less populated, is a more exclusive settlement of Elbow Cay located in Abaco Islands. Its pastel-colored houses and blue crystal water are absolutely stunning.

Traveling to Hope Town takes a bit of work. Like two flights and a ferry kind of work, but that being said, it’s completely worth it. The small island has a relaxed yet luxurious energy, feeling as though you're in the middle of the world with all the possibilities.

After the 30-minute flight to Marsh Harbour from Miami, we explored the Bahamian water with Cruise Abaco. Cruise Abaco is a chartering company that has a fleet of 20 boats. From catamarans to motor boats, you can take these vessels out for the day, week, or months on end. I love that Cruise Abaco offers many options to make guests comfortable. You can have a captain on board with the possibility of having them leave during anchorage at night. They also give guests the option of a captain teaching them how to operate the vessel for a week. Whatever you’d like to arrange, I’m sure it's an option. As always, what matters is the culture and customer service. This company is filled with the most genuine and passionate captains out there. It was a delight to simply talk and learn about the Bahamas and boating from them. Cruise Abaco, I couldn’t recommend it more.

MILAN Getting Married In The Fashion Capital

Milan is known as the fashion capital, but it can also be a surprising romantic destination to experience with your future spouse. You can admire the enchanting Italian architecture, unique food, and the best clothes in the world. Staying at the charming Bulgari Hotel is the beginning of an exclusive experience. Just a few steps from via Montenapoleone, in the city center, an eighteenth-century palace renovated with taste welcomes the five-star hotel that, behind its austere facades, hides enchanting courtyards and unexpected green spaces. An example is the luxurious private garden of 4,000 square meters, a natural extension of the nearby Botanical Garden and an oasis of serenity and relaxation to regenerate.

The Bulgari Hotel Milano offers its guests an unforgettable stay, fulfilling their requests 24 hours a day and ensuring a high-quality service. The exclusive hotel organizes private visits to villas and museums, seaplane excursions on Lake Como, and tours to discover the most exclusive Italian destinations by private plane, limousine, or yacht. Moreover, after the openings in Beijing, Shanghai, and Dubai, three Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito has brought his restaurant back to where it all began: Milan, at the Bulgari Hotel. Contemporary Italian cuisine is at the

base of Chef Niko's concept, which combines modern Italian with classical, perceiving the essence of “Made in Italy” in every element that composes it.

The ideal place for a Milanese aperitif is the Rooftop Duomo at La Rinascente, where the Food Hall is located. Climbing to the top floor of one of the city's most famous buildings, you can enjoy a breathtaking view from the panoramic terrace overlooking the spires of the Duomo so close that you feel like you can touch them. A memorable romantic toast accompanied by a paradise of gourmet delicacies to enjoy with your future wife.

In Milan, you can stroll with your beloved among international and futuristic scenarios and admire avantgarde contemporary architectures such as: Bosco Verticale: designed by Boeri Studio, it consists of two residential towers completely covered with vegetation, with the aim of creating a sort of “urban forest” to improve air quality and biodiversity in the city. Fondazione Prada: the Prada Foundation hosts a series of exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art and cinema, located within a visually striking architectural complex designed by Rem Koolhaas.
