W H AT ’ S T H E D E S I G N PHILOSOPHY BEHIND YO U R CO L L E C T I O N ? Choosing function as our key priority, our designs move beyond the decorative as we create objects to engage and interact with. Our simple, intuitive pieces appeal on both an aesthetic and sensory level. Our designs respond to human behaviour, work together, and last a lifetime.

W H AT A R E T H E B E N E F I T S O F F U R N I S H I N G W I T H WO O L? Wool is for a lifetime, not for a landfill. This renewable fibre is long-lasting and breaks down naturally. It’s a remarkably resilient, highly breathable fibre that keeps us cool in summer and warm in winter. Wool is great for air quality and is less flammable than synthetic fibres. Bringing wool back into the mainstream supports New Zealand’s farming community.

A curly sheepskin rug encourages kicking off your shoes and getting down to ground level. With the addition of the Stone Sets and the Shaggy Bag, lounging is redefined. These pieces can be moved around the house with you, indoors or out. It’s a refreshing shift away from traditional static furniture systems, that typically feature a sofa and two armchairs, with a rug, coffee table and a TV.

W H AT ’S N E X T FOR W I L SON & DOR SE T ? We are working on some fun designs for a new accessory range coming soon. We’ve been overwhelmed with the support we’ve received in the first year of launching our website. It’s allowed us to reach across New Zealand, Australia the United States and Europe. With people spending more time inside their homes, we’re encouraged to see a more thoughtful approach to living spaces. To experience this luxuriously cosy collection, visit the Wilson & Dorset concept lounge at 53 Helwick Street, Wā naka, Otago. 03 443 4376 | wilsondorset.com
