TAKING CATALOGUE DATA QUALITY TO A HIGHER LEVEL Eleven percent of TecDoc brands have achieved Premier Data Supplier status TecAlliance, which says it is the leading data management specialist in the independent automotive parts market, is continuously running a data quality initiative to optimise data quality in the TecDoc Catalogue. A new, more demanding set of rules with additional validations and key performance indicators (KPIs) supports parts manufacturers in improving their product data. Since June 2021, each brand that fulfils these higher content-related requirements has been certified as a Premier Data Supplier (PDS). As of the latest September evaluation, 11 percent of the more than 800 supplier brands have already achieved this superior status. “With our new KPIs, we support our industry partners in raising the quality of their data in the TecDoc Catalogue to a new level,” TecAlliance Director Data Quality Management, Andreas Assmann, said. “Our measures are aimed at enhancing the reliability 12

of the catalogue systems in the independent automotive aftermarket, thus increasing customer satisfaction at the point of service. Only accurate and complete data enables the user to quickly identify the correct replacement part.” “At TecDoc, we are driven to provide benchmark data to our customers. Currently, the TecDoc Catalogue database contains 9.8 million part numbers from more than 800 supplier brands and over 414 million product/ vehicle applications. The PDS supplier evaluation is carried out quarterly. TecAlliance says it is committed to fully supporting all data suppliers to achieve the Premier Data Supplier status to meet point-of-service (PoS) information requirements with their product data.
