227g blawd hunan-godi a 1/2 llwy de o bowdr pobi

227g self-raising and ½ teaspoon baking powder

113g menyn/margarin

113g butter/margarine

85g siwgr

85g sugar

85g cyrens

85g currants

1 wy mawr ac wy bach

1 large egg and a little egg

Pinsiad da o sbeis cymysg neu nytmeg yn unig

Good pinch mixed spice or just nutmeg

Rhwbiwch y menyn neu'r margarin i mewn i'r blawd (ychwanegwch y sbeis cymysg/ nytmeg)

Rub the butter or margarine into the flour (add the mixed spice/nutmeg) Add the sugar and currants

Ychwanegwch y siwgr a'r cyrens

Bind with beaten egg and a little milk (if needed) to a stiff-ish paste – similar to a shortcrust but slightly softer

Cyfunwch y rhain gydag wy wedi'i guro ac ychydig o laeth (os oes angen) i bâst eithaf stiff – yn debyg i grwst brau ond ychydig yn feddalach

Roll out on a floured board to about ¼ inch thickness

Rholiwch ef allan ar fwrdd gyda blawd arno i tua 1/4 modfedd o drwch

Cut into 2 ½ inch rounds Bake on a greased, moderately hot bakestone for 3-5mins in each side until golden brown

Torrwch yn gylchoedd 2 ½ modfedd Pobwch ar garreg bobi wedi’i iro, eithaf poeth am 3-5munud ar bob ochr nes eu bod yn frown euraid

Finish with a sprinkle of sugar
