Mae ACT yn dysgu Cymraeg!

ACT is learning Welsh!

Mae llawer o staff ACT wedi neu ynghanol datblygu eu sgiliau Cymraeg. Mae 30 aelod o staff ar hyn o bryd yn cwblhau cwrs Cymraeg 60 awr gyda'r Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. Y nod yw symud i fyny hanner lefel mewn chwe mis a fydd yn gyflawniad sylweddol! Dyma a ddywedodd un o'r cyfranogwyr John Taylor, : “Rwyf wedi bod yn defnyddio Cymraeg achlysurol yn fy swydd y rhan fwyaf o'm bywyd, fodd bynnag, dim ond y lleiafswm gofynnol yr wyf wedi'i wneud erioed. Drwy ymgymryd â'r cwrs hwn rwy'n gobeithio gallu ehangu fy geirfa Gymraeg a bod yn fwy hyderus gan ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg yn fy ngweithgareddau bob dydd”.

Many of ACT’s staff have been developing their Welsh language skills in the last year. 30 members of staff are currently completing a 60-hour Welsh course with the National centre for Learning Welsh. The aim is to move up half a level in six months which will be a significant achievement! This is what one of the participants John Taylor, Digital Learning Design Practitioner/Assessor, said: “I have been using incidental Welsh in my job role most of my life. However, I have only ever done the minimum required. By undertaking this course, I hope to be able to expand my Welsh vocabulary and be more confident using Welsh in my everyday activities.”

Manteisiodd llawer o'n staff ar gynllun mentora Sgiliaith sy'n gweithio gydag aseswyr i ddatblygu'r Gymraeg yn eu hymarfer. Meddai Sam Holland "Mae wedi bod yn wych gweithio gyda Helen yn Sgiliaith, gan ei bod wedi darparu amrywiaeth dda o offer a chymwysiadau yr wyf wedi bod yn eu defnyddio i helpu i gefnogi fy nysgu Cymraeg. Mae Helen wedi bod yn frwdfrydig ac yn gefnogol iawn, ac wedi fy annog i wthio fy hun tra'n dod â manteision a chyd-destun dysgu Cymraeg adref yn yr 21ain ganrif. Rwyf wedi mwynhau ein cyfarfodydd yn fawr a byddwn yn eu hargymell i unrhyw un sy'n awyddus i fireinio eu sgiliau Cymraeg".

Many of our staff took advantage of Sgiliaith’s mentoring scheme which works with assessors to develop Welsh in their practice. Sam Holland, Curriculum Developer - Digital Specialist, says “It has been great working with Helen at Sgiliaith, as she has provided a good variety of tools and applications that I have been using to help support my Welsh learning. Helen has been very enthusiastic and supportive, and has encouraged me to push myself whilst really bringing home the benefits and the context of learning Welsh in the 21st century. I’ve really enjoyed our meetings and would recommend them to anyone looking to brush up on their Welsh language skills”.
