HAIRDRESSING If you have a real flair for hair, then our hairdressing programmes are ideal for you. Our hairdressing courses will give you the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to get started for a career in the hair industry. Add to that your own passion and ambition and you could go on to work as a mobile hair stylist, run your own business, work in a salon or even travel the world working as a stylist on cruise ships.

Our level 1 course will provide you with introductory skills in hair and beauty and covers topics such as shampooing and conditioning hair, blow drying and plaiting hair along with basic makeup application, hand and nail care and nail art.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED?
Course length: 1 year
This unique course will teach you lots of in demand skills covering makeup and fashion makeup application, dressing and styling hair, face and body art application, spray tanning and also the shaping and colouring of eyebrows. If you have a passion for hair styling and makeup, this is an ideal course for you to study.
2 GCSEs grade 3/D or above including English and maths or an entry level qualification in a related course.

You could progress on to one of our Level 2 courses in hairdressing, hair and media makeup or beauty therapy or look to secure an apprenticeship.
4 GCSEs grade 3/D or above or a level 1 qualification in a related course. On completion of this course you could choose to specialise your skills further by completing either of our Level 2 programmes in hairdressing or beauty therapy, or look to secure an apprenticeship.
