Sabam for Culture has been committed to the promotion, development and protection of their audiovisual repertoire for decades. Sabam actively supports its authors at every step of the creation process through various grants: from the writing process to the actual realization, through development and promotion. A selection of sponsored short films from the festival programme will be shown on this Sabam Evening. Filmmakers who want to qualify for a Sabam grant, pitch their film on the same day at 3 pm. This Sabam pitch is freely accessible to the public.
Sabam for Culture zet zich al decennialang in voor de promotie, ontwikkeling en bescherming van hun audiovisueel repertoire. Sabam ondersteunt actief haar auteurs bij elke stap in het creatieproces aan de hand van verschillende beurzen: van het schrijfproces tot de concrete verwezenlijking, via de ontwikkeling en promotie. Een selectie van gesponsorde kortfilms uit het festivalprogramma wordt getoond op deze Sabam Avond. Filmmakers die in aanmerking willen komen voor een Sabam beurs pitchen hun film diezelfde dag om 15u. Deze Sabam pitch is vrij toegankelijk voor publiek.

Canvas has a heart for film and that certainly also applies to short film. Traditionally, Canvas is the generous donor of the Audience Award for both the best Flemish short film and the best European short film. But there's more. At "Canvas Selects" Evening, the culture-loving channel presents its own selection of Flemish short films, interspersed with interviews with the makers. You can win tickets for the screening on the competition page on the Canvas website. A small segment of tickets is sold publicly.
Canvas heeft een hart voor film en dat geldt zeker ook voor kortfilm. Canvas is traditiegetrouw de gulle schenker van de Publieksprijs zowel voor de beste Vlaamse fictiefilm als voor de beste Vlaamse animatiefilm. Maar er is meer. Op de exclusieve Canvas Avond presenteert de cultuurminnende zender een eigen selectie van Vlaamse kortfilms, afgewisseld met interviews met de makers. Tickets voor de vertoning kan je winnen via Canvas. Een segment tickets wordt publiek verkocht.

Flanders' most idiosyncratic weekly magazine is presenting its own short film prize, the coveted Humo Award, for the 14th time this year. Humo has selected a number of Flemish short films to be screened in the presence of the makers at the Humo evening. Right after the last film, there is a live vote and a winner is crowned. Vlaanderens meest eigenzinnige weekblad reikt al voor de 16de keer een eigen kortfilmprijs uit: de felbegeerde Humo Award. Humo selecteerde een aantal Vlaamse kortfilms die - in aanwezigheid van de makers - vertoond worden op de Humo Avond. Meteen na de laatste film wordt er live gestemd en wordt de winnaar in de bloemetjes gezet. Tickets voor dit evenement zijn te koop via de reguliere kanalen.
