WALK THROUGH THE OLD BOSNIAN QUARTERS Gračanica Clock Tower, a trademark of the town, is something you should not miss out on seeing. In 2020, it was declared a national monument of BiH. The clock has been showing the exact time to the people of Gračanica for the fourth century in a row. In its immediate vicinity is Captain Osman’s Madrasa, which was built in 1800 by the father of the famous Captain Husein Gradaščević. Nowadays, the madrasa dominates the town center making it more attractive. It is a wonderful example of the so-called pseudo-Moorish architectural style. It is also home to a tourist office as well as a lecture hall which still serves the needs of the people of Gračanica. 66

You must visit the Love Bridge when you come to Gračanica. The young people of Gračanica are behind the idea. The bridge holds a special place in the hearts of those who love someone or who are in love with someone, and those who use pad-
locks “lock” their love there. Within a short distance of the bridge there is a monument in the shape of a bench which commemorates the tragic loss of Mensur Žepić and Hava Šerbečić who were locked in an embrace when they were killed. As you continue to walk on the clean and well-maintained pavements you will reach Ćiro, the old steam engine, a Mávag 70/55, produced by Mávag, a Hungarian rail vehicle producer, which is one of the last ten remaining steam engines of this make in the world.
A MULTIRELIGIOUS TOWN Gračanica is also adorned with old religious buildings. The White Mosque or Ahmed Pasha Budmilija Mosque was built in the 17th
