EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY! (cont)
LANCASTER SINGERS
Please make sure you are taking a good Vitamin D dose through the winter. Anywhere from 1000iu to 5000iu a day is a good starting point. Have vitamin C to hand, and if you get a cold (we aren’t allowed to have just a cold anymore are we?) take 1000mg of it every hour for the first day or so. Take zinc too and CBD is very good for regulating so many systems of your body it really is one of the ultimate superfoods.
Christmas Concerts Tues 14th & Sat 18th Dec, 7:30pm After more than 500 days apart we are once again rehearsing and performing live! We gave a resounding ‘We’re Back!’ concert in November which was a joyous occasion for Singers and audience alike. We’re looking forward to the future very much.
Our Christmas Carol Concerts will be held in the iconic Ashton Memorial, followed by I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Christ Church, Wyresdale Road, Lancaster, respectively. The Memorial’s lofty ambience Happy New Year. and Christ Church’s gothic splendour make Nick Tofolos 01995 602833 for wonderful experiences and we hope you can join us for some beautiful music as well as a mince pie and a glass of mulled wine. Lancaster Singers is an auditioned choir, formed more than 40 years ago. Under the baton of our dynamic Director, Duncan Lloyd, we give five or six concerts a year in a range of venues from tiny village churches to large concert halls. The repertoire is eclectic and ranges from early renaissance music to the very latest compositions by some of the world’s greatest living choral composers. We rehearse during term times at Lancaster University. We also have some great social events during the year. If you’re looking to join a modern, vibrant, and accomplished choir, why not come along to a couple of rehearsals in the New Year and check us out? In the first instance, email Sarah at welcome@ lancastersingers.org or call Chris. Chris Haughton t: 07976 875 586 www.lancastersingers.org
