A Hole-in-One for Foundations Foundations’ Month culminated in the annual sold-out Preservation Foundation Golf Tournament, which occurred on Monday, Aug. 31, at Glen Echo Country Club. This event gave Members a chance to get together for a day of golf and camaraderie with the unified MAC spirit after a long hiatus. The day began with registration starting at 10:30 a.m. Participants were given time to explore the club and other vendors and bagged lunch before they were off to golf starting at noon. Although rain was in the forecast, the slight showers cut the humidity and made for great weather for golfing. The highly anticipated event was presented by Redbird Carriers and the Stacie Lee Belew Scholarship Fund this year. After golf play concluded, MAC meembers regrouped at Glen Echo’s clubhouse for a delicious meal followed by a silent auction and a eventually a live auction honoring past MAC president Kim Tucci. Among the auction items was a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Floridian Golf Club, which was donated by Mark Belew of Redbird Carriers.
