Sveriges Bergmaterialindustri, SBMI

The Swedish Aggregates Producers Association, SBMI, promotes the interests of the industry to society's decision-makers and supports the industry's quality and competence development. Our task The Swedish Aggregates Producers Association, SBMI, is the industry organisation for the aggregate industry. It works to safeguard the joint interests of its member companies through its work with, for example, government authorities, and to develop the industry by supporting research and training and through quality work and competence development. An overriding aim of the SBMI is to change the attitude of the surrounding world from seeing the industry as a supplier of loose gravel to an industry that produces professional construction materials. Other important work revolves around technical issues, standards and test methods, as well as competence development, R&D and training.
