News from
Poppies & Poppyfields Nursery
The sun is shining as we write this! A taste of things to come! We are really pleased to say the revamp, at Poppies, of our Spinney is now complete! Children can enjoy a builders yard, gardening, mud kitchen, hidden dens, a house on the hill, alongside our usual provision of Literacy Den, art tables and assault courses. We are hoping to put a new outdoor classroom in the space very soon!
The Wild Wood area has also been given a make over, with a home-corner and mini world area added, coupled with a new yoga area for use when the weather warms up! A huge Thankyou to Chris, Mark and the team at M.J. Ryalls for their never-ending support! Their team always go that extra mile to help and we feel incredibly grateful having them in Stotfold! Our children at both Poppies and Poppyfields, this term have explored authors and books. The Hungry Caterpillar sparked great interest with beautiful 3D caterpillars created, while gingerbread figures proved ever popular! The Rainbow fish created lots of opportunities to explore sharing while bean planting supported Jack on his adventures with a giant! Peter Rabbit then brought welcome Easter activities! At our after school clubs at both sites there have been sports activities, den making, treasure hunts, bug hunts and making their own snacks to enjoy!
Wishing you all a safe and happy month!
