What does the thread lift procedure entail? The thread lift treatment takes place under local anaesthetic and involves small needle insertion points, which the thread is passed through. The procedure takes around 45-60 minutes depending on what treatment the patient requires. The patient can fully resume their everyday routine and social commitments within a couple of days. PDO Thread lift is a tailor-made treatment which can be adjusted to the patient’s requirements. The thread lift can be repeated every 2-3 years to maintain the results.

How soon are the effects visible? It is common for an improvement to be noted immediately following treatment. The full effects can be noted over a period of 6 months as new collagen grows between the threads and continues to give a further lift and tightening to the skin. The PDO threads gradually dissolve over 6 months, however studies have noted that effects can be seen for 2-3 years.
