Kids have grown up playing in our parks and swimming at our pools, seniors have taken up new hobbies and explored Colorado on our trips, couples have tied the knot at our facilities, and countless people have incorporated our fitness classes into their daily routines.
We love sharing these special moments with you, which is why we take fun seriously. We are committed to offering quality programs and events for you and your family to connect with people, parks and play in Wheat Ridge.

ASSISTED STRETCHING - PNF STRETCH
Please welcome our newest Wellness Therapist, Charla Weipz! Charla will be offering assisted stretching, also known as PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching, which is a technique that uses natural reflexes to allow muscles to relax as they are being stretched. This specialized technique protects the natural reflexes that trigger additional tightness, to calm the muscles to prevent injury. Which results in a safer, deeper, and more efficient stretch. Assisted stretching benefits include but aren’t limited to an increase in flexibility, improved range of motion, reduction in muscle and joint pain, improvement in posture, improvement in mood and reduction in stress held in the body.
Being physically flexible is incredibly important for athletic & non-athletic body types. It allows for freedom of movement in your daily life, as well as helping prevent or reduce injury during exercise. One of the best ways to increase your flexibility is by stretching. This service is provided (like a massage) in a private one on one setting. Performed by a certified Flexologist. Call 303-231-1306 for additional information or to register.

Jeffco Middle School Sports
The Middle School Sports Program (MSSP) provides students at participating middle schools the opportunity to play in after-school sports programs alongside their peers. Practices are held on site at the school, immediately after school’s release time. Games are held on the same days of the week, replacing practice for that day. Games will be played at both home and away locations (specific game schedules provided the second week of the season). Parents are responsible for providing transportation to and from games. All players must wear their MSSP Team shirt to games/meets.

Martial Arts
Our Taekwondo program isn’t just a martial arts class, it’s a community.
Our 4th Dan Black Belt Instructor, Daniel Coe McCallum delivers fun, structured, and goal-oriented classes. The Taekwondo students participate in activities together outside of instruction time including group hikes, holiday outings, park clean-up days, and more! If you’ve been looking to find an incredible instructor who makes everyone feel welcome, then you’ve come to the right place!
Traditional Taekwondo builds confidence and respect, improves coordination and flexibility, and teaches you how to defend yourself. Testing for all ranks is available and accredited through the Kukkiwon.

MAGICAL RHINE AND MOSELLE RIVERS
Friday, Feb. 10th | 1:00 - 2:30 PM
Vernon and Irene Castle, the couple that made ragtime dancing not just socially acceptable but downright fashionable. They took a dance frowned upon by respectable society, and transformed it into a stylish hobby for rich and poor, and for the old and young. The Castles enchanted the nation: a married couple who actually showed affection to one another in public! In the years before the silent film industry had taken hold, the Castles laid the groundwork for public fascination with private romance. The program is monologue in-character, followed first by a question and answer period with “Irene Castle” and then by a question and answer period with the scholar/presenter, Susan Marie Frontczak. A lunch will be served prior to the performance.
