TGO Pickleball Club Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States and The Great Outdoors has jumped on the bandwagon in a big way. The TGO Pickleball Club is a well-organized group of over 160 members, 40 of them new since January 2022. Club hours are 9:00 am - 1:00 pm daily. Membership dues are $15 a year. There are pickleball players of all levels in the Club. They are a friendly, fun-loving group looking for exercise and camaraderie and are always willing to help beginners learn the game. If you would like to become a member of the Pickleball Club, simply fill out a membership form, located in a plastic bin on the inside door of the shed at the courts. Put the form and $15 in the envelope attached to the form and place it in the blue box located on the shed door. You will receive a Welcome Letter email with information about the Club. Once You Are a Member If you have no Pickleball experience, you will want to get some instruction on how to play. You can schedule a training session with Nancy Powers at 603-209-2544 or ncpowers46@gmail.com. This will allow you to see if you like the game and to develop some basic skills before joining the larger group. You also don’t have to run out and buy Love This Game! - Robin Neas, Phyllis Albert a lot of equipment because paddles and balls are provided in the shed. At some point you may wish to buy your own paddle. Wear shoes appropriate for court play and bring a water bottle, hat, and protective eyewear. After you get some experience and want more, you can take some clinics provided by our advanced players. Serving, ground strokes, dinking, drop shots, volleys, lobs, and overhead smash will be covered. Sign-up sheets are provided in the shed at the courts.
Along with instruction and clinics, TGO Pickleball Club activities include: • Free tournaments for Club members, with various groupings to make it fun for all • Pickleball Under the Stars • Annual dinner/social with music • Paddle vendor at the courts to try before you buy • Donuts for Dinkers at the courts on various holidays • Christmas golf cart parade • Participation in the TGO Clubs & Activities Fair Club members may participate in all Club activities, including meetings, purchasing merchandise, voting in elections, and serving on committees.
