Service members within 18 months of their separation or within two years of retirement are eligible to begin their ACAP services. It begins with a Congressionally- mandated preseparation brief, during which counselors present information about available resources and services. We strive to provide information via services that will assist service members in making informed decisions about transition. Other services include a 2-1/2 day TAP Employment Workshop facilitated by the Department of Labor, a VA Benefits Brief and Disability Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) brief facilitated by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and various job assistance seminars facilitated by ACAP counselors. One-on-one counseling is also available with any of the ACAP partners: ACAP counselors, DOL, and DVA.
