Figurines are common in the stilt village societies. They include representations of animals and humans. Some of them are combinations of humans and animals. The majority of the human figurines have a common posture: they are seated with the legs open, and some have female genitalia represented. None have male genitalia. This is the common pattern in Amazonia: the numerical predominance of female figurines over male.
