Spain Pavilion by Amann-Cánovas-Maruri
Bajo el lema ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, la Exposición Universal de Dubái acogerá hasta el 31 de marzo de 2022 las contribuciones al desarrollo de las naciones participantes, con el espíritu de estrechar lazos y afrontar los desafíos actuales de forma conjunta. Movilidad, oportunidad y sostenibilidad son los hilos conductores que articulan conceptualmente el gran acontecimiento, leitmotivs que se materializan en el recinto con tres grandes distritos temáticos. El estudio madrileño Amann-Cánovas-Maruri es el autor del Pabellón de España, un juego de ligeras estructuras cónicas con vocación bioclimática ubicado en el distrito de la Sostenibilidad, una suerte de plaza cubierta que acogerá las contribuciones a la sociedad y los proyectos de futuro de sello patrio, haciendo asimismo especial énfasis en la tradición y la herencia recibida de la cultura árabe. Con el afán de reciclar hasta el 90% de los elementos al concluir la muestra, en la construcción se han empleado materiales sostenibles y versátiles, entre los que destacan los que ha aportado Cosentino en consonancia con los valores de la Expo. El pabellón hace gala de una amplia gama de productos Dekton en los solados, como los revestimientos Radium de la galería expositiva principal o las piezas Dekton Halo que relucen en el icónico atrio presidido por la instalación artística de Daniel Canogar. Con su selecto catálogo de acabados, Silestone está por su parte presente en las barras e islas del área de restauración que completa la oferta cultural de la propuesta española.

Under the motto ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,’ the Universal Expo of Dubai will harbor until 31 March 2022 the contributions to development of the participating nations, with the purpose of strengthening links and facing the current challenges jointly. Mobility, opportunity, and sustainability are the guiding threads that conceptually articulate the grand event, leit motifs that materialize on site as three large thematic districts. The Madridbased studio Amann-Cánovas-Maruri has designed the Spanish Pavilion, a series of light cone-shaped bioclimatic structures that go up in the Sustainability district, a sort of covered plaza showcasing Spain’s contributions to society and its projects for the future, focussing particularly on the tradition and heritage received from Arab culture. Having set out the goal of recycling 90% of the elements when the event is over, sustainable and versatile materials have been used in the construction, including those provided by Cosentino in keeping with the values of the Expo. The pavilion features a wide range of Dekton products on floors, such as the Radium claddings of the main exhibition gallery or the Dekton Halo pieces that shine in the iconic atrium presided by the artistic installation of Daniel Canogar. With its select repertoire of finishes, Silestone is used for the countertops and islands of the bar and restaurant areas, rounding off the cultural content of the Spanish proposal.
