Interior Renovation

Albanian Aura Drita Kafè by Giusy Scalia

“Drita” means light in Albanian, but a very special light, in particular, the light reflected by the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea and by the white sand of Albania’s beaches. This atmosphere of idyllic nature and endless summers is what the Drita Kafè recreates. The small shop is located in Piana degli Albanesi, a Sicilian town between mountains and founded over five centuries ago by Albanians. How to maximize the potential of a small café? Dekton Entzo is inspired by Calacatta marble and its warm light; its golden veins define a distinctive personality that enriches any interior space. The designer and engineer Giusy Scalia has managed to make the most of its property to illuminate and enlarge a narrow space. Dekton Entzo, in its 0.8-centimeter thick format, has been used to clad the walls and the table areas, from which it stretches to the floor to give the space a uniform image. The design is completed with Dekton Entzo tables and countertops – of 2.0 and 1.2 centimeters –, which aside from adding aesthetic value, also ensure that the Drita Kafè owners will have easy-to-clean, scratch-resistant, and long-lasting surfaces.
