CREATIVE MINDS IN THE WORLD OF ART

T

hrough graffiti, the artist has forged his own identity, and in this medium of artistic expression, we have come to know the inner workings of his personality.

He has lived in various cities and his wanderlust has led him to places that have inspired his street art. His greatest pleasure is to feel the adrenaline rush from seeing his work in a surprising context; to see his graffiti in a place where his art can be appreciated by a diverse cross-section of people. In each of his works, he employs different techniques in the creative process. He works from the most elemental depths of his mind, selecting stencils, imagining different compositions, and choosing the exact lettering to accompany each work and then he takes some distance… the distance necessary to allow his instinct to play a big role in creating the final piece, always with the expectation that the observer will have an emotional response to his work, which is so intricately linked with his being. One day when waiting for inspiration to strike, with the “C” of COLP, he created such a simple yet complex entity “ADELITA”; a “signature” that defies nationality, race or social strata; a “being” that lives between life and death. An emblem that retains a spirit of rebellion, and through which, COLP ONE will leave his mark for the coming generations. He identifies with the logo, and at the same time, it identifies him.
