Pitti Uomo, the event for men's fashion is back in a big way It's almost refreshing to have had to juggle between those rushing to perfect new purchases, those showing off new collections in the courtyard of Florence's Castle and the many photographers who kept snapping nonstop. After difficult years for everyone, finding Pitti Uomo in great shape allows us to hope for a real recovery not only of men's fashion, but of the entire industry. Many events we will talk about, including the interesting Fendi fashion show, but what is worth highlighting, as far as accessories for spring summer 2024 are concerned, is undoubtedly the still uncontested dominance of the 'active spirit'. The world of sports wins out with a decidedly overflowing offer of sneakers and backpacks. Some elegant proposals, of the highest level, in terms of quality and style, are returning, but they are still a drop in a sea made up of informal, hybrids that wink at classic models but actually make comfort the symbol to be sported on the shields. Overall win two seemingly contrasting trends, but which, in reality, are the opposite sides of the same coin: lots of color and excessive and original silhouettes, and on the other side the minimalism of white and formal cleanliness.
È quasi piacevole essersi dovuti divincolare fra chi correva a perfezionare i nuovi acquisti, chi sfoggiava le nuove collezioni nel cortile della Fortezza di Firenze e i tanti fotografi che continuavano a scattare senza sosta. Dopo anni difficili per tutti, ritrovare Pitti Uomo in gran forma permette di sperare in una vera ripresa non solo della moda maschile, ma dell’intero comparto. Molti gli eventi di cui parleremo, tra cui l’interessante sfilata di Fendi, ma quello che val la pena sottolineare, per ciò che concerne gli accessori della primavera estate 2024, è senza dubbio il dominio ancora incontrastato dello ‘spirito active’. Il mondo dello sport stravince con un’offerta decisamente strabordante di sneaker e zaini. Tornano ad affacciarsi alcune proposte eleganti, di altissimo livello, per qualità e stile, ma sono ancora una goccia in un mare fatto di informale, di ibridi che strizzano l’occhio ai modelli classici ma che in realtà fanno della comodità il simbolo da sfoggiare sugli scudi. Su tutto vincono due trend apparentemente in contrasto, ma che, in realtà, sono le facce opposte della stessa medaglia: tanto colore e forme eccessive ed originali, e sull’altro lato il minimalismo del bianco e la pulizia formale.
