Whether you want to continue in education, start work or live more independently, our personalised courses can help you build the skills and confidence you need. Our Foundation Learning courses are delivered in small groups within our bespoke foundation learning classrooms.

ENTRY LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATE IN SKILLS FOR EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN? This fun and interactive course is designed to help you build skills, knowledge and self-esteem. You will study units such as independent living, skills for shopping, customer service, basic cooking, healthy living and budgeting. Learning will take place within our specialist foundation learning classrooms.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED? No formal entry requirements.
WHAT’S NEXT?
ENTRY LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN USING EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN? Our Using Employability Skills course will help you develop key independence and employability skills for the future. You will study a range of units including working with others and using communication skills in a work place. We will support you in the development of independence and work with you to improve your transition to adulthood, including helping with travel skills (where appropriate), cooking skills and self-care, we will also ensure we work with you and other key stakeholders to help build your confidence and self-esteem. There may also be an opportunity to gain experiences of vocational courses in their specialist facilities.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED? No formal entry requirements.
WHAT’S NEXT? On completion of this course you could progress onto our Entry Level 3 Certificate in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development or move on to supported employment, supported internship or voluntary work.
On completion of this course you could progress onto our Level 1 Certificate in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development or complete a level 1 vocational course. You may also wish to achieve a greater level of independent living, move on to supported employment or internships or complete voluntary work.
LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN SKILLS FOR EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT 1 YEAR
WHAT WILL I LEARN? Our level 1 course will help to prepare you for your next steps. You will be able to develop key skills such as teamwork, time management and interpersonal skills. You will also study topics such as basic food preparation, personal development, skills for independent life and English and maths as well as taking part in enrichment and tutorial sessions.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED? No formal entry requirements.
WHAT’S NEXT? Once you have completed this course you could progress on to a vocational course or you may achieve a greater level of independent living or move on to supported employment, supported internships or voluntary work.
