PUBLIC SERVICES Our public services courses provide you with a strong skills and knowledge base, allowing you to enter a uniformed service, such as The British Army, fire service, police, Royal Navy, prison service or the RAF with confidence. You will take part in a wide variety of enrichment activities such as visits from the public services, guest lectures and outdoor trips. Look out for our policing programme allowing you to gain specialist knowledge and skills for a career in the police.
LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE IN SPORT & UNIFORMED PUBLIC SERVICES 1 year
WHAT WILL I LEARN? If you enjoy fitness, teamwork and playing team sports then this is the course for you. The course will cover a combination of sport and uniformed public services topics such as map reading and navigation, fitness testing and sports coaching to develop skills such as communication, leadership, discipline, problem solving and confidence.
WHAT GRADES DO I NEED? Three GCSEs at grade 2 or above or an entry level qualification in a related course.
WHAT’S NEXT? On completion of this course you could progress on to our Level 2 Diploma in Public Services or Level 2 Diploma in Sport.
