Research experiences strengthens student’s commitment to the environment Research experiences for undergraduates at Metro Campus is a program where faculty supervises hands-on research experiences in the laboratory or in the field. Through these experiences, faculty provide students support through mentoring, tutoring and development of critical thinking skills. Through the various research projects students are trained in scientific methodology to get an increased and improved understanding of the various stages in research. All students participate in workshops such as ethics in research, laboratory and field safety protocols, scientific writing, and effective poster presentations. They are trained to present their research results at National and International Congresses. All students are certified in responsible conduct in research by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative.
