GlobeMed
GlobeMed is a network of university students who partner with grassroots organizations to improve health around the world. We find high-impact organizations already transforming the health of their communities and connect them to a group of visionary students who mobilize their resources to power more change. Today, there are 50 GlobeMed chapters on university campuses across the U.S., each collaborating with a unique grassroots organization to improve health in the U.S., Africa, Asia, or South America. Since 2007, GlobeMed has mobilized over 2,000 students to raise $615,000 for more than150 health projects. From renovating a clinic in Rwanda to constructing latrines in El Salvador, these projects have tangibly improved the lives of thousands of people living in poverty around the world. The Network is coordinated and supported by the GlobeMed National Office in Evanston, IL.
