A Sea of Deathbeds Tragedies fell like a downpour from a grieving sky, Flooding us with pain. Then, the hospitals shrunk as the space were eaten by dead men, Killed by the unseen enemy. He crowned himself and went by many names, Corona, COVID-19, and death. In this darkness, there were men who rendered themselves as gods “Taking from those who have nothing, To give them who already have things!” But, they were not benevolent gods who sacrifice for salvation. They are immortal worms who eat even from the remains of the dying poor, Controlling prices. Their bellies expand faster than the universe. Drop after drop, and wave after wave, The sea of deathbeds took place. - Paul Aries Valera
