Beware
In this fairytale version of my own once upon a time, my enemies combust into flames at my matte-coated smiling lips. Any prince charming who thinks he can save me is living in a daydream for I am the tamer of dragons. and a warrior princess born from the ancient witches’ magic. I am not meant to be a damsel locked in a tower for I am meant to break myself free and ride the dragon; what is there to fear when fire can tame fire? I am not meant to sit still, corset choking me lesser than stereotypes do for I am meant to lead armies with grit and grace without fear of the dark and the monsters of lore. I am not meant to stay calm and lose my voice at the sight of injustice for I am meant to shatter catastrophes with venom dripping smirks – an advocate for all the Medusas whose plea for justice were turned to stone. - Patricia Angela Gallon
