Mathematics Standard 2 Task description: The topics to be assessed are, Interest and Depreciation, Rates and Ratios, Equations and Linear Functions (Inc. Solving Simultaneous Equations Algebraically) and Correlation and Regression. Knowledge, skills and understanding will be communicated via a 90 minute pen and paper exam. Yes Time allocated to task: 90 minutes Task completion details: Assessment Details: The task is an examination to be completed during the Mid-course assessment period weeks 9 and 10 term 1. Task length comprises of 90 minutes writing time and 5 minutes reading time. Questions are a combination of multiple choice and free response. A reference sheet will be provided. Students are to bring their own NESA approved calculator, pens, pencils, rulers and erasers to the examination. The exam is divided into two sections: •
