Since 2012, the DILG has been in full support to the National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NCIP) “Awards for Excellence (eGOV Awards) in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Good Governance for Local Government Units (LGUs)”. It is an annual search for the best practices of LGUs in utilizing ICT to effectively and efficiently deliver its public services directly to its constituents and to its business stakeholders. Said awards program has six (6) major categories, namely: 1) Best in eGOV Costumer Empowerment (G2C) Award, 2) Best in eGOV Business Empowerment (G2B) Award, 3) Best in eGOV Digital Finance Empowerment (G2P) Award, 4) Best in eGOV Data-Driven Governance (D2G) Award, 5) Best in eGOV System for Global Empowerment (G2G) Award, and 6) Best in eGOV Government Inter-Operability. Baguio City was successful in being recognized for the following projects. Luckily, eBudget Operations and Monitoring System (eBOMS) emerged as Champion in its category.
